Our expedition team originally ran into Michael Palin's film crew in Nouadhibou, Mauritania. We then encountered Palin himself on our way into Djenne Mali. Finally we travelled with his team into Timbuktu and stayed at the same hotel and the following photos were taken the morning after a "few" beers. Palin sports our VRAA expedition cap.
